I think it relates to a use of green meaning young or unfinished. Green cheese is young, immature cheese. A green goose is a young goose. I have always assumed that green ware refers to a pot's earliest stage. Now I'll have to go look up it's etamology and see if I am anywhere near the truth!Whatever! It's a cool pot!
